The intermediate course follows on from the foundations course and as such, we continue to follow Alexandra Kurland’s book; The Click That Teaches, A Step by Step Guide in Pictures. We will continue through the foundation lessons in the book, focusing on safety and the mechanics of good training for each exercise.
From the menu at the top of the page you will be able to locate the links for each weeks course material. Click on the correct week and you will be asked for a password. This is the password that was emailed to you. Once you have entered the password you will have access to the page

The format for the course is the same as for the foundation course…
For the first week I will ask everyone (there will be a maximum of 4 people on the course) to give a quick summary of where you are with your clicker training. Then we will cover some of the information that you will need to get the most out of the course. At the end of week 1 I will assign you some training homework to do with your horse to complete before the next live class room chat session.
Each live chat will have a similar format where each person will be asked to share how their homework progressed, challenges they faced, how they overcame them etc. During this I will offer training tips, suggest other ways to overcome training hurdles and learning theory behind what we are discussing.
We will then set new training homework for you to complete for the next 2 weeks. This may be a continuation of what you were doing for the weeks before, or it may be a new exercise.
At the end of each live classroom chat the transcript from the chat will be added to the classroom so that you can refer back to it at any time.
In the last week we will finish up with discussing any challenges you have and set you up to continue your clicker training.
If you have any questions at any time, feel free to email me at email@example.com.
